Saturday, September 24

Posted in Uncategorized by tylerconium on September 24th, 2011

In this week's episode, Keegan Wiebe (@KeeganWiebe) rides shotgun to discuss a myriad of topics.

First up is online privacy. How much of the information available to other people is our fault?

Sticking with the news, if you live in Canada and you're not a hockey fan, good luck watching the news between September and June.

We get into a small discussion about the death penalty, and whether or not it's still useful in today's society.

Lastly, I ask Keegan a very spooky question, that I also pose to listeners as well. Enjoy!

Klout, How To Stab A Curtain, Jim Tressel

Posted in Uncategorized by tylerconium on May 30th, 2011

Segment 1:

Joined once again by cohost Andy Arias (@rallycap_andy) we start today's podcast on my soapbox bitching about the terrible website Klout, as they refuse to remove me from their database.

We lighten the mood (slightly) talking about The Hangover 2, and wrap things up bitching about the Chicago White Sox announcer who thinks Jose Bautista is corking is bat.

Segment 2: (9:28)

Joining the podcast is Nicholas Paddison (@NickyPaddison), Umed Abdullah (@IAmUmed), and Katia Montesano (@KatLikeEyes) from Threatless Theatre to talk about their upcoming production entitled "How To Stab A Curtain." For more information on dates and how to purchase tickets, please visit their website at www.threatlesstheatre.ca.

Segment 3: (21:00)

Old friend of the podcast Evan Barnes (@evan_b) is back to talk about Jim Tressel and Ohio State. As a Canadian, it's tough to understand why college football makes national news. He's here to tell us why.

Obama’s Etiquette, Bieber Fever, Political Incorrectness

Posted in Uncategorized by tylerconium on May 26th, 2011

Filling in for Andy Arias today is the one, the only, bokeen (@bokeen)!

In the opening segment we discuss the video above. Obama's "gaff" with the Queen in which he raised his glass before she did. Apparently a big no-no in Buckingham Palace.

British Columbia is in the process of instituting a law that makes sperm a "person or person-to-be" which is not only going to have adverse effects on abortion, but to sperm donors as well. The identity of a sperm donor can no longer be protected.

Google has announced they will begin testing "Google Wallet". A mobile phone application that will allow used to pay for things via their cell phone.

In the second segment, myself and bokeen basically act like 13 year old females while raving about the Justin Bieber documentary "Never Say Never".

The smiles turn to snarls when we dive into the engagement of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries.

The third segment today deals with sports. We begin with Joakim Noah being fined $50,000 for calling a fan a faggot.

This leads into the discussion of former Sportsnet broadcast Damian Goddard who was fired for tweeting about his stance on gay marriage (he was against it).

Tornados, Business, RIP Macho Man

Posted in Uncategorized by tylerconium on May 23rd, 2011

Today's opening segment will be depressing with some recent tragic news on two fronts. First, tornados have ripped through Jolpin, Missouri over the weekend, leaving over 100 people dead and a city greatly destroyed. I speak with Missouri native Amanda Somerville (@MaSomerville) for a first hand account of the devastation.

In the second segment we are joined by Dr. Alyn Rosselini (@AlynRosselini) who discusses how influential sports and athletes can be to big and small business alike.

In the final segment, I am joined by Derek Masters (@drockfilms) as we pay one final tribute to the late great Macho Man Randy Savage. Two of our favourites of all time, of all time, OF ALL TIME!

RELAUNCH! Thursday, May 19

Posted in Uncategorized by tylerconium on May 20th, 2011

The Anybody Listening podcast is relaunching just in time for one final podcast! Why? Well because the world is ending in 2 days that's why!

Myself, along with new co-hort/co-host/co-operative dancer (kidding) Andy Arias (@andy_online) discuss the impending rapture according to religious wingnuts. If you had 24 hours to live, what the heck would YOU do?

We also talk about the filthy whore who flashed her sexy boobs at the Vancouver Canucks game last night. Good? Bad? Indifferent? Arousing.

Arnold Schwarzenhoozen knocked up a gargoyle looking maid at the same time he impregnated his beloved wife, and for whatever reason the entire world cares! What's the deal with society's current obsessive compulsive disorder with celebrities? Furthermore, since when is infidelity at all surprising?!

We will co-operatively dance into the sports segment of the show to discuss what will happen if the Miami Heat make (win) the NBA Championship. Will the entire NBA be fucked? Yup. But we'll use more words than "yup."

And last, and certainly least.. the Toronto Raptures. I've changed their name because their franchise will probably be dead before the weekend. Colangelo resigned, we got F'd in the lottery, and we are in some serious trouble!
